🇫🇷 PSG were silenced in Auxerre as the goalkeeper stole the show

Paris Saint-Germain traveled to Auxerre but were held to just one point after a goalless draw.

One man was the star of the show as midfielder Auxerre stunned the league leaders.

Paris Saint-Germain sent their usually lethal attack forward from kick-off, but every attempt to take the lead was either blocked, cleared or saved.

Goalkeeper Donovan Léon was the hosts’ impenetrable force, helping Auxerre keep the situation deadlocked despite PSG registering 23 shots in 90 minutes.

Gonçalo Ramos could and should have scored a hat-trick, but the goalkeeper saved every chance. Meanwhile, Achraf Hakimi was rejected twice and Bradley Barcola was also silenced.

PSG was demanding some talent from the bench every hour while things were still deadlocked. The introduction of Ousmane Dembélé and Randal Kolo-Muani failed to ignite a spark on the pitch.

It was Vitinha who perhaps came closest to beating Léon, but his curling effort hit the woodwork.

Kolo-Muani then had a one-on-one moment with the goalkeeper and ended up failing before Léon also saved Désiré Doué with his fingertip.

Unfortunately for the hosts, their six shots weren’t enough to potentially claim a convincing winner, but they will still take the crucial point.

Looking at the table, PSG has an eight-point lead, while Auxerre is close to finishing in the top six.
