Christmas lights, Christmas markets and Christmas performances. Starting this Saturday, they’ll be going full throttle around Los Angeles.

Today in LA includes Yuletide Cinemaland at Heritage Square Museum, Bob Baker’s Nutcracker, Holiday Road at King Gillette Ranch, Los Angeles Christmas Market at ROW DTLA and more. Wherever the mood of the season takes you, we hope you have fun!

Make Metro part of your weekend

Metro Bike Share Community Ride in NoHoM FA > Metro Bike Share is hosting its newest community bike ride this year SaturdayStarts at 11 a.m. at North Hollywood Station. The 7-mile round-trip ride will utilize the Chandler Bike Path and make several stops to explore and relax, including at Donut Hut and Illiad Bookshop. If you don’t have your own bike, remember that participants aged 16 and over can reserve a Metro Bike for free to take part in this event, but spaces are limited. More information here.

Christmas cinema landM > Street Food Cinema’s Yuletide Cinemaland is back with a three-week season of Christmas films showing on select nights at the Heritage Square Museum, all starting November 30th. The program begins with a screening of Eleven The Saturday Evening, then the next few weeks will continue with classics like A Christmas story And Home aloneall shown under the stars and paired with ugly sweater contests, pajama nights and tours of the on-site Victorian mansions at Heritage Square. Bob Baker’s Nutcracker -> I’ll start with this SaturdayThe Bob Baker Marionette Theater recreates their 1969 performance of the popular holiday ballet The Nutcracker at the Sierra Madre Playhouse for the 2024 holiday season. The show features large-scale puppets and intricate sets. Performances will take place on selected dates from November 30, 2024 to January 5, 2025. Tickets are $25. More information here.

Art Maker Space at ESMoAFA >Everyone Saturday at the Experimentally Structured Museum Art in Lawndale offers an afternoon of art for those looking to showcase their creative skills. This week’s Art Maker Space focuses on the art of linocut printing, allowing participants to carve designs into foam board and transfer their creations into prints. All materials are provided and all ages are welcome. Free participation. The program runs from 1 to 3 p.m. More information here.
