2 Girl Scout Cookie flavors will be discontinued at the start of the season

Calling all cookie lovers!

The Girl Scouts of the USA announced that the organization will retire two of its 12 classic cookie varieties at the end of the 2025 cookie season, which begins Tuesday.

Fans of s’mores and toast-yay! Cookies must place their orders for the sweet treats at a Girl Scout cookie booth or online at a Girl Scout’s individual online digital cookie sales site by April.

The Girls Scouts of the USA will phase out S’mores cookies at the end of the 2025 Girl Scouts cookie season.

In a statement to “Good Morning America,” a GSUSA spokesperson said, “We regularly reevaluate our cookie lineup to make room for new innovations. The attitude of Toast-Yay! and Girl Scout S’mores® could lead to something new and delicious.”

Girl Scout cookie season typically begins in January and ends in April.

Other popular cookies baked by either ABC Bakers or Little Brownie Bakers, including Thin Mints, Samoas/Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs and others, will continue to be offered.

According to the Girl Scouts, the five most popular cookies currently are Thin Mints, Caramel deLites/Samoas, Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs, Adventurefuls and Peanut Butter Sandwich/Do-si-dos.

Through cookie sales, Girl Scouts learn life skills, build character and self-confidence, and develop business skills such as goal setting, money management, social skills and business ethics, all while raising funds for their local councils and a variety of activities such as camps, field trips and service projects.

To find a Girl Scout to purchase directly from, Cookie fans can visit www.girlscoutcookies.org or text COOKIES to 59618 to find a local booth. After February 21, cookies can also be purchased on the Girl Scout Cookies website and shipped directly to homes.
