2024 College Football Playoff odds: Who will advance to the quarterfinals?

Eleven teams are still in the hunt for a national title.

The College Football Playoff round was announced on December 9th and the revamped tournament to determine the next college football champion is set to begin.

The first round is underway and all four quarter-final matches will be scheduled by Saturday evening.

Let’s look at the odds for every quarterfinal game at DraftKings Sportsbook starting December 21st and learn what you should know about each game.

No. 7 NOTRE DAME (-105) vs. No. 2 GEORGIA (-1, -115)
Allstate sugar bowl
January 1, 8:45 p.m. ET, ESPN
O/U: 44.5

What you should know: The Fighting Irish have won 11 straight, including their dominant 27-17 win over Indiana in the first round of the CFP, a game in which they led 27-3 in the fourth quarter. Georgia last took the field on December 7 when it defeated Texas in the SEC Championship. The two teams have a common opponent: Georgia Tech. The Irish defeated the Yellow Jackets 31-13 on October 19th, while the Bulldogs defeated GT 44-42 in eight overtimes on November 29th. However, the main storyline heading into this game – the only storyline – is that Georgia starting quarterback Carson Beck will almost certainly miss the CFP after suffering a throwing arm injury in their win over the Longhorns on Dec. 7. Sophomore Gunner Stockton has 206 passing yards and one interception this season. Still, despite the shakeup at QB, the Bulldogs were a slight favorite. How will the line fluctuate in the coming weeks?
