Friday, December 27, proved to be a lucky day for Pittman’s program. When the clock struck zero at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, the Arkansas HC might have let out a huge sigh of relief. Finally, the AutoZone Liberty Bowl victory was Pittman’s third winning season as Razorbacks HC. Just when the HC was thinking of throwing a party, a player made a misstep and was looking for a place to hide. This is none other than their offensive lineman. Fernando Carmona. How Sam Pittman’s respectful approach led to success

The Liberty Bowl was indeed special for Baskerville. After all, it was the last game of his college career. The former transfer from San Diego State played two picture-perfect seasons with the Red Raiders. However, it ended bitterly. So he went right ahead and accused Caroma of X. The disgruntled senior security official at Texas Tech wrote: “There’s no denying that Arkansas played a great game last night, I don’t take that away from them. But #55 Fernando Carmona blatantly stepping on my ankle and deliberately pushing it down is just plain dirty. Proceeds read: “Got your asshole.” Do better @RazorbackFB.”

Well, Razorbacks players getting dirty with Texas Tech apparently isn’t part of Pittman’s curriculum. Finally, the Arkansas HC was extremely respectful of its rivals. Before Pittman competed, he shared how difficult it was to prepare for an opponent like Texas Tech.

“I think that’s it – I’m not going to speak for Coach. What a great coach he is. But for us it was just about preparing because there are a lot of unknowns. We know they are very aggressive defensively, both on a four-down line and on an odd-numbered front. We know they are very aggressive. So we moved around a lot,” Sam Pittman explained. So far, neither Fernando Carmona nor Arkansas have made any comment on the obviously dirty play.
