5 ongoing food recalls in the US for Christmas week 2024

Christmas is a time for eating and snacking. While everyone is at home enjoying the holidays, you can stock up on all foods – pre-cooked or vegetables.

Holiday shoppers should be aware of the ongoing recalls of certain dishes that may be served at family gatherings during the holiday season as they browse the aisles for ingredients this week.

Food recalls can occur for a variety of reasons, such as the presence of unidentified ingredients that may cause an allergic reaction or the possibility of bacterial contamination such as Salmonella or E. coli.

Popular items for appetizers, entrees, sides, holiday drinks and desserts are among the recalled foods that could be served at holiday dinners.

Today, food recalls are an unavoidable aspect of customers’ lives. Even companies that promote best food safety practices occasionally produce meals that pose a risk to customer safety, whether due to the presence of an unreported allergen or the presence of infectious microorganisms. Therefore, manufacturers remove products from stores and issue recalls to warn consumers not to consume them if they learn or believe a product is dangerous.
