Dez Bryant blasts the Cowboys after Dan Quinn, the Commanders’ win over the Buccaneers

The Washington Commanders have pulled off an unlikely turnaround in their first year as a head coach Dan Quinn and their dynamic signal generator, Jayden Daniels. On Sunday evening, Daniels was able to lead the Commanders to a playoff victory on the road against Tampa Bay, with a game-winning kick in the final seconds making the difference in the 23:20 victory. Following the franchise’s historic win, former Cowboys star Dez Bryant took to Twitter to introduce his former team.

“Dan Quinn turned a once-struggling franchise into a playoff contender, winning his first playoff game…Until Dallas focuses on winning instead of politics…Cowboys fans shouldn’t expect success any time soon…I’ll tell you this clearly…, “That’s exactly what I always do,” tweeted Bryant.

It should be noted that this was not Dan Quinn’s first playoff win, but rather his first playoff win with Washington. His overall playoff record is now 4-2. Quinn led the Atlanta Falcons to the Super Bowl in 2016. Dallas finished with a disappointing overall record of 7-10, placing third in the NFC East.

It must be painful for Cowboys fans to watch their rivals’ turnaround. On Sunday there was the first playoff win since 2005, also against Tampa Bay. Washington will face the NFC’s No. 1 seed, the Detroit Lions. This will be played on Saturday at 8:00 pm EST.

Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels completed 24 of 35 passes for 268 yards while throwing two touchdowns and no interceptions. As a runner, he had 36 rushing yards, including a couple of clutch runs in the fourth quarter to get into field goal position for the game-winning kick.
