Apple TV+ presents its new series Main goal in just about a week, which means it’s high time we watched the trailer for it. Under the direction of Leo Woodall (The White Lotus), the story revolves around a mathematician who is on the verge of making a major discovery that could change his life – and the world – forever. He quickly finds out that he is on the NSA’s radar and that, without realizing it, he has become the target of an unknown enemy. The show is scheduled to premiere on January 22nd.

The trailer for Main goal makes it clear that Edward Brooks (Woodall) is quite the genius and a bit of an overachiever. As he goes through his post-graduate courses, he begins to study the pattern of prime numbers and questions their “behavior”. If he can interpret the discovery, he could potentially find a key that opens the locks of every computer in the world, which would change the modern world as we know it. That’s why he was warned by a professor to drop it.

From there, the trailer quickly evolves into a thriller as Edward begins to fear for his life as he is stalked and monitored. As you can imagine, security and data companies are keeping a close eye on Edward, as bank accounts, defense systems and government records can suddenly become an open book, making the protagonist both valuable and dangerous. So the ultimate question the Prime Target trailer asks is: Should Edward Brooks be dead or alive?

There is an impressive team behind “Prime Target”.

Prime Target is created by Steve Thompsonwho has a lot of experience with exciting and detective stories – he previously wrote for the acclaimed show Sherlock. For his new series he enlisted the help of Brady Hood Directing all eight episodes. Hood previously directed parts of Great expectations and Netflix Great boy. The fact that the same director was chosen for all episodes, which is not so common in television, suggests that Hood and Thompson’s creative vision was maintained throughout the series.
