With most of the region seeing a few snow showers during the late afternoon and evening hours on Sunday, we will factor the chance of snow showers into the forecast throughout the start of the week.

With a cold front moving through the region today, we will keep a chance of snow showers in the forecast as the lake effect snow machine turns back on thanks to a northwesterly flow. High temperatures will rise to above 20°C on Monday and fall to above 20°C and below 20°C on Tuesday afternoon.

Expect temperatures to fall throughout the day on Monday, with temperatures falling into the lower 20s through the late afternoon and evening hours. But taking winds into account, wind chills will fall below zero across most of the region during the evening, overnight hours and into Tuesday morning.

Looking toward the middle of next week, another Arctic blast is headed our way, with highs Tuesday in the low 20s and overnight lows in the low teens and single digits. We will see gradual warming by the end of next week. The snow showers will ease on Tuesday night and a few flakes will remain in the forecast on Wednesday, otherwise there will be plenty of cloud cover.

As we watch another front roll through the region through Thursday, we will bring the possibility of snow showers back to the region on Thursday. The high temperatures will rise slightly, dropping to below 30 °C by the afternoon.

Then we’ll dry it out for Friday, but cloud cover will remain and then there’s a chance of rain and snow showers across the region early in the weekend on Saturday. We will watch a low pressure system spread south of the region and if there is enough cold air and temperatures are just above freezing there will be a chance for some rain and snow showers.

On Sunday the cloud cover will remain until the end of the weekend, but then the cold will return. High temperatures will drop to the mid 20s by Sunday afternoon.
