US President-elect Donald Trump chose former adviser Kash Patel to head the Federal Bureau of Investigation, an agency that Patel often criticizes.

The former chief of staff of the US Department of Defense for the first Trump administration, Patel is a steadfast supporter of the new Republican president.

For Patel to take the job, current FBI Director Christopher Wray must resign or be fired — although Trump is not being asked to do so.

Separately, Trump said he plans to appoint Florida Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister to head the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Patel and Chronister join attorney general nominee Pam Bondi to fill out Trump’s law enforcement picks.

Also on Saturday, Trump announced that he would choose Charles Kushner as ambassador to France.

Oga Kushner is a real estate developer and father of Jared Kushner, husband of his daughter Ivanka Trump.

The nomination appears to be the first government position Trump has not formally offered to a relative since his re-election.

All three decisions must be confirmed by a majority vote in the US Senate.

Patel and Trump loyalist share the president-elect’s distrust of government institutions.

“We are a brilliant lawyer, investigator and ‘America First’ fighter who will not spend my career exposing corruption, defending justice and protecting the American people.” Champion of truth, accountability and the Constitution.

My previous proposals do not include a “dramatic” reduction in FBI powers. In his memoir “Govment Gangsters,” Patel called for the elimination of violence and called “government tyranny” within the FBI through the firing of “senior officials.”

Patel will replace current FBI Director Christopher Wray, although Trump appointed him to a 10-year term in 2017.

But Wray fell out of favor in the presidential election because of the FBI’s involvement in a federal investigation into Trump’s handling of classified documents, a case recently dropped by Donald Trump.

In a statement following Trump’s announcement, the FBI said: “Every day, the men and women of the FBI continue to work to protect Americans from a growing range of threats.”

“Director Wray remains focused on the men and women of the FBI, the Pipo we work with and the Pipo we work for.”

The son of Indian immigrants, Patel, a former defense attorney and federal prosecutor, caught Trump’s attention after becoming a senior adviser to the House Intelligence Committee in 2017.

Trump was named national security adviser in 2019 and became Pentagon chief of staff a year later.

In addition to my 2023 memoir, we are releasing two pro-Trump children’s books.

One of these titles, “A Conspiracy Against the King,” is about a villain, Hillary Queenton, who attempts to depose King Donald, who is aided by a wizard named Kash, the respected explorer.

Anoda Villain Na Keeper Komey – a thinly veiled reference to former FBI Director James Comey – and I’m “Spy Slugs,” according to the book’s blurb.

Patel often protests the so-called “deep state” because some Americans believe it is an unelected bureaucratic machine that secretly runs it for sinister purposes.

Patel also criticized the media, calling it “the most powerful enemy the United States has ever seen.”

We are also a board member of the Trump Media and Technology Group and own the social media platform Truth Social for the new president.

Patel has reportedly secured a consulting contract with the firm, which pays him at least $120,000 per year.

Chronisters also have a long history of law enforcement.

According to my official bio, he has worked in law enforcement in Florida for 32 years and has been the chief law enforcement officer for Hillsborough County, Florida since 2017.

On social media, Trump praises the chroniclers’ experience and reiterates his focus on drugs and the US border.

“As DEA Administrator, Chad is working with our great Attorney General Pam Bondi to secure the border, stop the flow of fentanyl and other illegal drugs across the southern border, and SAVE LIVES,” Trump wrote.

The chronicler wrote on social media that it was “the honor of a lifetime to be nominated by Trump.”

“I am deeply humbled by the opportunity to serve our nation.”
