'Vivek, Jay and now Kash': Former spiritual advisor to Donald Trump praises Indian-origin nominations to US govt

Donald Trump plans to fill key Indian-American positions in his possible second term as president. Trump’s former spiritual advisor Johnnie Moore highlighted several candidates of Indian descent on X (formerly Twitter). This includes Usha Vancewife of Vice President-elect JD Vance; Vivek Ramaswamy; Jay Bhattacharya; and Kashyap “Kash” Patel.
Moore emphasized the prominent role of Indian-Americans in Trump’s plans. He explained, “Usha, Tulsi, Vivek, Jay and now Kash. The Indian-American/Hindu-American community will be the focus of the second Trump administration. Quite a moment for one of America’s most vibrant minority communities.”

Trump nominated Patel to head the FBI. Patel previously held positions as chief of staff at the Department of Defense, deputy director of national intelligence and senior director for counterterrorism at the National Security Council. Trump announced Patel’s nomination at Truth Social.
“I am proud to announce that Kashyap ‘Kash’ Patel will be the next Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Kash is a brilliant lawyer, investigator and America First fighter who has spent his career exposing corruption, defending justice and protecting the American people. He played a crucial role in exposing the “Russia, Russia, Russia” hoax and emerged as a champion of truth, accountability and the Constitution. Kash did an incredible job in my first term, serving as Chief of Staff at the Department of Defense, Deputy Director of National Intelligence, and Senior Director for Counterterrorism at the National Security Council. Kash has also litigated over 60 court cases,” Trump said.
