Hugh Jackman first played Wolverine in the 2000s X Men. Despite appearing in two different X-Men films and helming the Wolverine trilogy, the actor was only allowed to wear his Marvel character’s iconic yellow and blue costume Deadpool and Wolverine. Even though there’s no news about Deadpool 4, fans are rewatching the film, and one talent has made Jackman’s debut in the Wolverine suit even better.

VFX artist Captainsting shared what Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine would have looked like with his cowl in a fight with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool.

In the MCU film, the character only receives his iconic cowl towards the end of the film. Jackman pulls down his cowl before Deadpool and Wolverine fight the Deadpool Corps. The video edit shows the Marvel mutant in his full costume much earlier in the film, while Wolverine is wearing his cowl, which looks great as he fights Reynolds’ Deadpool as they arrive in the Void. The hood looks perfect in motion and suggests that Wolverine will wear it in future MCU films.

Deadpool and Wolverine was Marvel Studios’ first R-rated film. As such, the project could be bloodier than any other film in the series, and Marvel has certainly made the most of it. Deadpool and Wolverine’s battle in the Void provided a healthy dose of violent superhero action to get the blood pumping at the start of the film. Since they don’t like each other yet, this moment allows the two Marvel mutants to vent their frustrations with each other and show just how powerful Hugh Jackman’s new take on Wolverine is. However, something was missing.
