The Bruins forward will miss the game against Lightning

Mark Kastelic will miss his second straight game on Tuesday when the Bruins host the team he was injured against.

The forward missed practice on Monday and interim coach Joe Sacco told reporters that Kastelic is still considered an everyday player but will not be available against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Kastelic suffered the injury in the final seconds of Boston’s 4-1 loss to the Lightning last week while arguing with Emil Lilleberg. The defender attacked Kastelic in the face/neck area before the two dropped the gloves. Kastelic hit the ice hard and was unsteady when he got back to his feet.

It is unclear whether Kastelic’s injury occurred from the crosscheck or during the fight. The extent of the injury is also unknown.

Marc McLaughlin replaced Kastelic in Saturday’s overtime win against the Florida Panthers, but the Bruins sat on the native. on waivers on Sunday and picked up veteran forward Vinni Lettieri from Providence on Monday.

Lettieri was productive in Providence this season, scoring 35 points in as many games. During Monday’s practice, he lined up on the third line with Oliver Wahlstrom and Trent Frederic.
