Former My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar honored late rock star Chester Bennington before his death

Former My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar honored late Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington in one of his final social media posts – on the last day the rock star was reportedly seen alive.

According to TMZ, Bryar, the popular rock band’s longest-serving drummer, was found dead in his Tennessee home on Tuesday. He was 44.

Although the cause of death was not immediately known, the musician was last seen alive on November 4th – the same day he honored Bennington, 41, the longtime lead singer of Linkin Park, at his home in Los Angeles in July 2017 Suicide died.

“Emily Armstrong destroys, rips faces and makes Chester proud,” Bryar wrote on X.

“She was the perfect choice. AND she had to deal with the initial hatred. That’s hard. trust me. Word up.”

Linkin Park, which disbanded after Bennington’s death, announced plans to reunite for a new tour and new music in September, with rocker Emily Armstrong joining the legendary California rockers as co-vocalist.

The announcement sparked mixed reactions from online fans. Supporters welcomed the band’s return and critics labeled Armstrong a poor fit.

Bryar, who wore a “Make America Great Hat” in his profile photo, posted two cryptic messages after his Linkin Park take before the Nov. 5 presidential election, one reading “TULSI” and the other “MEGYN.”

There were no other posts listed on his X-page.

Authorities do not suspect foul play in Bryar’s death.

After the drummer’s badly decomposed body was discovered, animal control was called to the home to remove two dogs.

After the release of their second album, “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge,” he became the New Jersey rock band’s permanent drummer.

With the release of the platinum concept album The Black Parade in 2006, Bryar was part of the band’s heyday.

The album was certified platinum in the US and ended the year at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Rock Albums of 2006 and No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

Bryar split from My Chemical Romance in March 2010.

After helping other bands on tour, Bryar turned to working in real estate, according to TMZ.

The investigation into his death is still ongoing.
