‘Severance’ Cast Member Ben Stiller Takes Over Grand Central with Season 2 Pop-Up Appearance

If you missed your train at Grand Central Station, blame the cast of “Severance.”

The show’s stars, Adam Scott, Zach Cherry, Patricia Arquette, Britt Lower and Tramell Tillman, shocked subway riders on Tuesday when they were displayed in a glass cube with workstations identical to the configurations Lumon employees used use in the series.

Everyone channeled their “innies” on the hit show while in the makeshift office, ignoring the gawking commuters as they “worked,” practiced yoga, played tag, drank coffee, and threw paper airplanes at each other for the to promote the second season of “Severance,” and only came around for three days.

Scott, Cherry, Arquette, Lower and Tillman acted as if they had actually worked at Lumon Industries for about two and a half hours, with their performance beginning around 4:30 p.m

However, they weren’t the only famous people involved in the publicity stunt.

59-year-old Ben Stiller was also on site at the pop-up.

The Meet The Parents star is executive producing and directing the psychological thriller/sci-fi series from creator Dan Erickson.

Stiller was caught on camera looking like a proud dad as he recorded the actors in the makeshift workspace watching passers-by between the clear cubes – and his presence didn’t go unnoticed.

“Can we take a moment to appreciate Ben Stiller filming the Severance pop-up in NYC like a proud father?” One TikTok user captioned an adorable video of the actor from the terminal.

Several fans took to social media to applaud the clever and surprising pop-up.

“This is awesome: the entire cast of Severance sitting in a giant glass cube in the middle of Grand Central Station playing their roles,” one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

“Well done Apple,” another quipped while sharing clips and photos from the event.

The first season of “Severance” aired in 2022 and was nominated for a whopping 14 Emmys, ending the awards season with two wins.

“While 2025 is still young, there is no doubt that ‘Severance’ will land on most ‘Best Shows of the Year’ lists and will be a serious awards contender again,” she wrote after previewing the second Squadron.

“Severance” Season 2 will be available to stream on Apple TV+ on Friday, January 17th.
