After Sawyer, 22, returned a fumble for 83 yards and a game-winning touchdown against Texas on Friday, January 10, the college football star quickly dropped some merchandise to celebrate the instantly iconic moment.

The NIL Store is now home to the exclusive release of Sawyer’s “Scoop N’ Score” merch, a nod to his sack with the Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers which led to the touchdown.

Available in store is a black hoodie, a black crew-neck sweatshirt and a black T-shirt with images of Sawyer’s grand entrance. The items are priced at $64.99, $54.99 and $39.99 respectively.

Per Sawyer’s contract with The NIL Store, the store also offers jerseys, sweatshirts and shirts with Sawyer’s name, image and likeness. (In 2021, a law went into effect allowing college athletes to profit by selling their NIL rights.)

According to his Instagram account, the Ohio State star also has deals with Wendy’s, clothing store The Players Trunk and Ricart Automotive.

Sawyer’s touchdown, which came with just over two minutes left in the game as Texas was hoping for a potentially game-winning touchdown, secured Ohio State’s trip to the College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday, January 20.

The Buckeyes will face Notre Dame at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta hoping to secure the school’s first national title since 2014.

After the game, Sawyer told ESPN Holly Rowe about the magnitude of the moment.

“This means everything to me,” Sawyer said. “God has blessed this team with so much talent. I kind of blacked out when I pulled over and picked it up. The coach has put us in a great position. I mean, I was just put in a good position by the coaches and I saw the ball pop right to me after I tackled it.”

Sawyer added: “I just thought I had to stay on my feet because like I said, I almost fainted when I saw nothing but green grass in front of me.”

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day I couldn’t help but praise Sawyer, who made the decision to return to Ohio State for his senior season despite an attractive NFL Draft profile.

“To make a play like that in this moment,” Day, 45, told ESPN. “Do you want to leave a legacy? You will become a legend. He just became a legend at Ohio State.”

Ohio State and Notre Dame meet in the National Championship game on Monday, January 20 at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
