Former Australian bodybuilder Ash Edelman is causing a stir online with his story of transition from OnlyFans content creator to monkhood.

A major turning point came in his life when he adopted the life of a monk, which helped him rediscover himself.

“Originally I thought I was coming here to meditate. In my opinion, meditation is something that really helps people change their minds. Over time, I discovered who I am,” he said in an interview with the International Forest Monastery Chiangmai Instagram account.

In the video, he also shared how meditation changed his life and his perception of himself. In his Instagram bio, Ash Edelman described his journey as “living multiple lives in one life.” His Instagram profile describes him as a personal coach, mindset architect and personal growth strategist.

The video received massive support from social media users who praised Edelman for his decision to pursue meditation and monasticism. Edelman’s videos sharing his experiences as a monk have been viewed approximately 4,000 to 7,000 times and received hundreds of comments. Several users described his transformation as “inspiring” and “epic.”

“Wow, absolutely breathtaking!! What lineage do you practice under? (sic),” one user commented on the post.

Another user shared his experience and wrote: “I lived with the minks in a monastery in South Korea for 2.5 years and trained in martial arts. I must say that this life seems idealistic, but the real beauty in it lies in the inner mirrors that one has to face. The ego dissolves and the heart breaks open. After 18 months I felt cleansed but the work continues. That was 13 years ago (sic)”
