ALLENTOWN, Pa. – More details are emerging about a current and former Allentown police officer accused of committing rape and other serious crimes while on duty.

According to police documents, 47-year-old Jason Krasley physically forced a prostitute to have sex with him and threatened her that she would be arrested if she didn’t.

It is also alleged that the same woman was forced into a non-consensual sex act by 45-year-old Evan Weaver to avoid being arrested. She is said to have believed at the time that she was in police custody.

Investigators requested that the affidavits in this matter be sealed because they believed they posed a potential danger to the victim. The paperwork is now unsealed.

In 2015, Krasley was responsible for investigating prostitution and related crimes, according to a probable cause affidavit. His duties included responding to online sex advertisements through a website, authorities said in court documents.

According to court documents, Krasley, along with Weaver, arrived at a woman’s apartment in response to an online ad for prostitution. A woman asked him if he was there for a girl, authorities said. According to authorities, Krasley said he was there for her and began interacting with her to consent to prostitution.

She said she was not his date and left the room to bring the alleged date back, court documents say. When the woman returned, Krasley posed as a police officer; She then recognized him as such and knew who he was from previous interactions, according to court documents.

According to court documents, the woman asked Krasley if she would be arrested; He told her why he should take her to prison: “You know what you have to do.”

Krasley then sexually abused the woman, court documents say. Weaver came into the room and told Krasley to stop sexually assaulting the woman, authorities said.

After Krasley left the room, Weaver forced the woman to perform a sexual act, according to the probable cause affidavit. There have been no official records or charges surrounding the incident, court documents say.

For years before that incident, Weaver had the same woman perform sexual acts in exchange for not prosecuting crimes involving the woman and of which he was aware, court records say. Court records indicate that Weaver knew the woman lived at the home when he responded to the crime scene with Krasley.

According to court documents, this series of incidents began in 2011 when Weaver arrested the woman and her boyfriend as part of an investigation into illegal drug and weapons possession. According to authorities, Weaver handcuffed and separated the woman and man at the scene.

According to court documents, the friend was removed from the scene and transported for evaluation.

According to authorities, the woman was handcuffed in an unmarked vehicle while Weaver was in the same vehicle. Court documents indicate the woman believed she was in custody and would be arrested.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Weaver forced the woman to perform sexual favors to avoid arrest. The documents state that after a raid on Sixth Street in Allentown, Weaver handcuffed the female victim and put her in a “red Ford Explorer.”

The victim told investigators she believed she was being arrested because “she was read her Miranda rights” and Weaver told her “her whole life would be thrown away if she didn’t cooperate,” court records said.

The victim says Weaver told her “there were things she could do to avoid going to jail.” The victim says she was driven to a second location where Weaver “forced” her to perform a sexual act.

The affidavit states the woman was not arrested.

She says Weaver remained in contact and “continued to receive sexual favors from the victim in exchange for not prosecuting crimes in which she was involved.”

Weaver remained in contact with the woman, authorities said. According to court documents, Weaver continued to obtain sexual favors from the woman in exchange for not prosecuting crimes involving her and of which he was aware.

The incidents continued until early 2015, according to court documents.

Weaver and Krasley were arrested Friday and charged with involuntary sexual servitude and rape, both first-degree felonies; and misdemeanor counts of indecent assault, official oppression and prostitution and related offenses, according to a news release from the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.

According to prosecutors, Weaver is also charged with sexual assault, a second-degree felony. The DA’s office says Weaver is currently a police officer in Allentown.

Krasley, a former Allentown police deputy, is also charged with kidnapping, involuntary sexual intercourse and intimidation of a witness – all first-degree felonies – as well as a misdemeanor count of criminal coercion, the release said.

“It was rape, it was statutory, it was sexual assault, it was involuntary servitude. It was a series of things. Apparently these crimes don’t change because the young lady was a prostitute. Which actually makes it worse because these officers were.” “People who took an oath were there to defend everyone, not just some,” said Lehigh County First Assistant District Attorney Eric Dowdle.

According to the Allentown Police Department, Weaver is on administrative leave and an internal investigation is being updated.

Krasley, who retired in 2021, also faces charges that he stole $5,500 in a 2019 drug raid. Krasley has a preliminary hearing on the theft charge later this month.
