Lil’ Kim has expressed her condolences to the victims of the Los Angeles fires with a misleading post on social media.

The 50-year-old rapper shared an Instagram Story on Tuesday, which she later reposted on Instagram and X, formerly Twitter.

“#PrayForLA,” she captioned the screenshot alongside a prayer emoji. “I have sent strong prayers for LA and everyone affected by the fires. This is heartbreaking. I pray to Jesus that God will provide the monsoon in LA.”

The Los Angeles fires have left 6 million people in the area at acute fire risk as winds continue to keep the flames burning.

According to CNN, nearly 17 million California residents are under a dust and ash wind warning. So far there have been 25 confirmed deaths and up to 12,000 buildings have been destroyed.

While countless Los Angeles residents hope for wildfire relief, the strong winds and rains of a monsoon may not be the best hope.

Lil’ Kim, who is a long-time Christian, has sparked controversy over her faith in the past. In 2023, she said that her then-published memoir would eventually sell more copies than the Holy Bible, one of the most widely published and translated works in human history.
