Joey Graziadei wins season 33

SPOILER ALERT: This story contains spoilers from the season 33 finale of “Dancing With the Stars.”

“Dancing With the Stars” has officially named the winner of season 33! The “DWTS” season came to a close on Tuesday night after the results and votes from the Nov. 20 semifinals were combined with the live viewer votes and results from the finale, awarding the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy to Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson became .

In addition, the voting record was broken again in the final.

The evening began a little differently than usual, with 30 minutes of pre-recorded segments in which the judges explained the finalists’ journeys, instead of the usual opening number. Finally, celebrities from the season returned for an opening number of Madonna’s “Holiday.”

The show also drew on some of the current stories that came out of this season of “DWTS.” Anna Delvey came on stage during the word “nothing” during her dance to Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing.” Later there was said to be a couple named Jenn Tran and Sasha Farber And Gleb Savchenko and Brooks Nader, partner, married couple and ex-partner, danced to “Reunited” by Peaches & Herb.

Another night, Season 32 winners Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy danced to Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club.” Then Mark Ballas returned to dance the “Libertango” from Tango Bardo with Derek Hough, honoring the origins of Argentine tango – between two men.

The professionals from the “DWTS LIVE 2025 Tour” also took the floor for a performance of “Rush” by Troye Siva.

As for the competition, each pair of finalists performed twice during the finale – first a judge-assigned redemption routine, followed by a freestyle routine.

Highlights included Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold opening the competition and Carrie Ann Inaba saying that the late Len Goodman would be very proud. Later, the pair’s routine, which he performed alongside some of his gymnastics mates, brought everyone to tears and gave them a perfect score.

The first perfect 30 of the night (and their second of the season) went to Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson for their redemptive Cha Cha. However, her creative freestyle routine wasn’t quite up to par for Inaba and she described it as “disappointing.”

Danny Amendola and Witney Carson modeled their pink freestyle routine on Ken and Barbie, respectively, where the judges couldn’t get a “Kenough.” Judge Hough called the performance “one of the most entertaining things I’ve ever seen on this show.”

After reminiscing (literally) while discussing her time on “Dancing With the Stars,” Ilona Maher performed a powerful routine to Chappell Roan’s “Feminomenon” with Alan Bersten. “Look at me, Ilona, you have become a real leading actress!” said Bruno Tonioli. “Proud, in control and at the center of these great dancers. You were always the girl on top.”

Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong finished the first round, also with a jive. Inaba said she may have had the toughest journey of the season and Bruno Tonioli said it was “more than just making up for it”. They scored their second perfect 30 of the night. For their freestyle routine, Kinney and Armstrong paid tribute to pioneering black artists like the Nicholas Brothers.
