Iowa State will be without a forward Milan Momcilovic in Wednesday’s game against No. 9 Kansas at Hilton Coliseum after the sophomore suffered a hand injury in practice.

The injury occurred to Momcilovic’s non-shooting hand and will sideline the standout for five to six weeks, which should give him time to heal before the start of the postseason.

In 15 games this season, Momcilovic is averaging 10.3 points per game and has a 44.3 shooting percentage from the 3-point line.

Without the Pewaukee, Wisconsin native, Iowa State could reach deeper into its bench than it normally would.

The Cyclones have stuck with an eight-man rotation for most of this season, and Momcilovic spent 24.8 minutes on the floor each night.

The most likely faces expected to appear will be newbies Nojus Indrusaitiswho has proven that he can shoot and has tenacity and is 1.80 m tall Demarion Watson with size.
