Mumbai:

Saif Ali Khan was attacked by a burglar in the early hours of Thursday, January 16. The attack was allegedly an attempted burglary, police officials told the media. The 54-year-old actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai following the knife attack. Saif suffered injuries to his neck, spine and hands, the hospital said. He is now out of danger and is currently recovering. The hospital is monitoring Saif’s condition.

The attack happened around 2 a.m. when Saif was sleeping in his house. The intruder allegedly attacked an associate of the Khan and Saif intervened to save her. A scuffle ensued, resulting in six stab wounds to Saif’s spine, neck and hands.

According to the Mumbai Crime Branch, the intruder entered Saif’s building by scaling the walls of an adjacent building.

After the attack, Saif was taken to Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre, two kilometers from his home.
