Chaos reigns at the Australian Open as Danielle Collins pulls out of an intense match against Destanee Aiava due to a reported injury

Danielle Collins is struggling to meet her season-opening Slam commitments at the Australian Open. After earning Team USA’s second consecutive United Cup victory, the American star flew to Melbourne and had a remarkable start to her individual season. However, the following round brought with it physical limitations.

Two days after outsmarting Daria Snigur in a thrilling straight-sets battle at Melbourne Park, she faced home favorite Destanee Aiava at the Show Court Arena. Although Collins got the competition off to a winning start by winning the first set, she was unable to maintain her rhythm against the Australian player in the second set. When push came to shove and all hope seemed lost, the 31-year-old shocked everyone to the max when she requested a Medical Time Off (MTO).

According to the reports from Melbourne, Collins is probably suffering from a problem in his right foot and has even taken medication to combat the problem.
