Commanders Fantasy Football begins and takes place in Week 13 against the Titans

The Washington Commanders suffered their third straight defeat when they lost extremely narrowly to the division rival Dallas Cowboys. They are now the seventh seed in the NFC and have a real chance of missing the playoffs. The team needs to get back on track against the Tennessee Titans.

On the bright side, some Commanders’ fantasy performances were significantly better against Dallas last week. However, a large portion of that was due to an 86-yard touchdown at the very end of the game that should have sent the game into overtime had Austin Seibert not missed an extra point.

The team wants to bounce back with a win and continue their dream success this week against the Titans. Here’s who you should start or bet during the fight.

Begins

Jayden Daniels

Jayden Daniels finished his fantastic performance last week as QB1 with 32.4 points. He desperately needed this after suffering two defeats in the last two weeks.

Despite the big week, caution is still advised. The offense showed signs of regression. If Kliff Kingsbury doesn’t change anything, more subpar fantasy works could be on the way.

With that in mind, this is a great match for Daniels to continue his resurgence. The Titans are a bottom-12 team in fantasy points allowed at the quarterback position. Despite the bad weeks, Daniels is still the QB4 of the year. He’s still an electric player who can win fantasy games with his legs alone.

Start Daniels as a high-end QB1 this week.

Brian Robinson Jr.

Brian Robinson Jr. has no injury status heading into the game, so it looks like he’s good to go.

The Titans are in the middle of the pack when it comes to fantasy points allowed at the running back position. However, with Austin Ekeler on the injured list due to a concussion, Robinson may have even more work ahead of him this week.

When Robinson is at full capacity, the chances of scoring a touchdown are high. Starting him as RB2 this week.

Terry McLaurin

There is reason to be concerned about Terry McLaurin for fantasy purposes. Without an 86-yard touchdown at the end, it would have been a poor fantasy performance for the second week in a row. The way Kingsbury runs this offense hurts the wideout’s usage.

To make matters worse for McLaurin, the Titans allow the third-fewest fantasy points to the wide receiver position.

McLaurin is still a top receiver in the NFL and WR4 this season. His talent can prevail against a poor plan of attack. Let’s hope Kingsbury gets a little more creative with Washington’s most productive pass catcher from here on out.

Moderate expectations for McLaurin, but still starting him as WR2.

Zane González

With Seibert going on injured reserve, Zane Gonzalez will be the Commanders’ kicker for the foreseeable future, and perhaps the remainder of the season after the incumbent starter’s abysmal kicking performance against Dallas.

This offense gets into enemy territory pretty easily, it’s just a matter of hitting drives for touchdowns, which the offense sometimes struggles with. This leads to easy field goals.

Defense of the Commander

The Commanders’ defense proved that they still allow a lot of points even in an easy game. However, we shouldn’t hold it against them too much. The Titans offense with Will Levis commits a lot of turnovers and is the best combination for fantasy defenses.

Start with Commander Defense this week.

Sits

Jeremy McNichols

Jeremy McNichols should take on some of Ekeler’s workload. However, I don’t often see the commanders playing from the back in this game. That means Robinson will likely carry a lot of the rushing load.

Keep McNichols on the bench this week unless you need a desperate start.

Zach Ertz

Zach Ertz has been great for fantasy purposes the last few weeks. This production may not be sustainable. He scored at least seven goals and one touchdown in both weeks. For comparison, he only scored three points this season.

The Titans defense is also a tough opponent for tight ends. They allow the eighth fewest points for the tight end position. Keep Ertz on the bench this week.

Noah Brown

Noah Brown’s performance was far too inconsistent to merit a start against a strong Titans secondary.

Keep Brown on the benches and off the wires this week.
