The Chicago Bulls star reacts to the Dodgers’ signing of Blake Snell

Two-time Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell announced Tuesday evening that he is signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers on a free transfer. Snell posted a photoshopped image of himself in a Dodgers jersey, spreading the word before any of MLB’s top reporters could do so.

While his numbers dipped a bit last season compared to the 2023 Cy Young campaign, Snell was still one of the top MLB free agents this offseason. After three seasons with the San Diego Padres, Snell spent one season with the San Francisco Giants, remaining in California and the National League West Division.

According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, Snell’s contract is worth $182 million over five seasons.

On Passan: “Left-hander Blake Snell and the Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to a five-year, $182 million deal, with the physical still pending, sources tell me and @jorgecastillo. The World Series champs receive the two-time Cy Young winner in the first nine-figure deal of the winter.”

The sports world has reacted to Snell’s signing with Los Angeles, including Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine.
