Seahawks DL Leonard Williams makes NFL history with his long pick-6 from Aaron Rodgers

Do you like big man touchdowns? Leonard Williams just made one that almost went from goal line to goal line.

The Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman, who had an outstanding game in last week’s win over the Arizona Cardinals, was caught in coverage by New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers on a crucial third down. Williams directed the pass from Rodgers to himself and recorded his second interception of his career. With a convoy by his side, “Big Cat” rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown to put the Seahawks up 21-13.

See the interception in all its glory!

According to NFL on FOX halftime host Curt Menefee, this is the longest touchdown by a 300-plus pound player in NFL history. Williams is listed as weighing 310 pounds, which makes his top speed all the more impressive for someone so tall. This was also the first red zone pick-6 of Rodgers’ storied career.

“Big Cat” made a big play to keep the Seahawks within striking distance of the Jets. With his recent performances, he shows why Seattle traded a second-rounder for him and extended his contract.
