ATLANTA FALCONS (+1.5) over Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers have a few factors working against them in this situation.

First, they are at a massive residual disadvantage since the Falcons have a bye and Los Angeles lost to the Ravens on Monday.

Second, they travel east for this 10 a.m. PST kickoff.

When we took on the Chargers last week, we noticed that their stats were boosted by a simple schedule.

In their last two games, the Bengals and Ravens have combined for 57 points against them, and Baltimore rushed for 212 yards on Monday.

Atlanta’s rushing attack is one of the strongest in the NFL and stopping a fresh-faced Bijan Robinson could be quite difficult.

The Falcons may also be the more desperate team after terrible losses to the Saints and Broncos.

DENVER BRONCOS (-5.5) over Cleveland Browns

The Browns had their feel-good moment of the season on Thursday, but the mood in the Mile High City won’t last.

Denver is historically a difficult place to be, and Jameis Winston’s throw against an opportunistic Broncos defense seems like a mismatch.

Nick Chubb also appears to be a step slower than before as he recovers from injury.

The Broncos, meanwhile, have an up-and-coming rookie quarterback in Bo Nix who is playing quite well, and Denver should benefit from a home crowd that hasn’t seen a meaningful game in some time.

Betting on the NFL?

Let’s remember that in Winston’s last road start, the Browns couldn’t keep up with a mediocre-at-best Saints team in a 35-14 loss.

Denver is also one of the NFL’s best against the slate with a 9-3 record, including a 4-1 stretch.

Last week: 2-0. Eagles (F), Ravens (F)
season: 9-15.
