Ex-Chiefs WR arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, coach issues statement

According to a press release from NFL Media, former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated Monday morning following the Los Angeles Rams’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on “Sunday Night Football.”

Robinson played for Kansas City from 2016 to 2021 and was part of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LIV squad in 2019.

After his time in Kansas City ended, Robinson signed contracts with the Las Vegas Raiders and Baltimore Ravens in 2022 before joining Los Angeles last season.

Details surrounding his arrest Monday night remain unclear, but Rams head coach Sean McVay is expected to address Robinson’s situation on Tuesday.

Los Angeles holds a 5-6 record following its primetime loss to the Eagles, and the Rams offense will have to make some serious adjustments if Robinson has to miss time, especially if injuries play a role at the position later this season.
