IT BEGINS. AT 1:00 PM ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS WEATHER CONDITIONS IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA. THESE TEMPERATURES WILL ALSO BE MILD HERE OVER THE NEXT DAYS THAT ARE REALLY COMING INTO THIS WEEK, ALONG WITH SOME CHANCES OF RAIN. So that’s really the weather story here as we head into the new work week, a live look at the big picture showing the cold front to the north of us. BUT THIS FRONT IS QUITE WEAK AND IT’S NOT REALLY EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TO THE SOUTHEAST OF LOUISIANA. Although we’re only dealing with a few clouds across the area here in the south, but overall the skies here are mostly clear at the moment, with a light wind blowing around five miles per hour in some places . BUT THE REST OF US MEASURES APPROXIMATELY LIGHT WIND SPEEDS. BUT HERE’S NEW ORLEANS’ TEMPERATURES FOR TODAY. THE FINAL NUMBERS 64 WERE THE HIGHEST. THE AVERAGE 67. SO SLIGHTLY BELOW THE AVERAGE WAS THE LOW 41 DEGREES. AND THAT MAKES WE BELOW THE AVERAGE OF 50 HERE FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. CURRENT TEMPERATURES ARE NOW IN THE MID 50S ON THE NORTH COAST AND WE ARE SEEING OVER THE LOWER 60S. HOWEVER FOR YOU THERE ON THE SOUTH COAST THE FORECAST FOR THE REST OF THE NIGHT TONIGHT IS A CLEAR AND A PRETTY DRY ONE. TEMPERATURES. Another cool night. Once again, not as cold as what we’ve been seeing lately, especially for you on the North Shore. However, lows here are still expected to reach the mid 30s by tomorrow morning, and as far as lows here on the South Coast go, GEAUX is likely to be even higher. THE 40’S, SOME COAST LOCATIONS INTO THE 50’S, FORECAST FOR THE REST OF THE DAY. It’s sunny and fairly dry again, but also mild with high temperatures around 60°C. ABOUT 64 DEGREES BASIC, BUT 63 IN THE WEST HERE FOR TOMORROW AND TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN PRETTY MID AT LEAST THROUGH TUESDAY. BUT WARMER WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY, WITH HIGHS NEAR THE LOW 70S. And then we’ll see that temperatures maybe drop a little bit on Friday. HOWEVER, the upper 60s to low 70s return as we head into the weekend. As you can see broadly, the weather continues to be clear this evening and high pressure is starting to move in from the north heading into this week. AND THAT’S WHY OUR WEATHER WILL CONTINUE TO BE SUNNY AND PRETTY DRY. EVEN CLOSER TO US THERE IS THE HIGH AS WE STAND INTO TUESDAY, THE WEATHER KEEPING OVERLY DRY, BUT YOU CAN SEE A DEVELOPMENT OF DISTURBANCES BACK TO THE WEST, INCREASE OUR CLOUD COVER HERE LOCALLY, NOW INTO WEDNESDAY WITH A FEW SHOWERS The Reason why our chance of rain is starting to GET UP HERE, ESPECIALLY BY THURSDAY. We could expect about a 60% chance of rain and then expect showers and thunderstorms again in the forecast. THIS TROUBLE ALSO OCCURS ON THE WEEKEND. SOMETHING THAT IS MONITORED HERE. WDSU FIRST WARNING, SEVEN-DAY FORECAST REQUIRING ONLY A MIXTURE OF CLOUDS AND SUN UNTIL WEDNESDAY. THE HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL EVEN WARM UP TO 70°C UNTIL WEDNESDAY. AND AGAIN WATCH FOR THE CHANCES OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ON THURSDAY. Friday will still be a bit cloudy with another weak disturbance heading into the weekend. That could give us a chance for showers, maybe a few thunderstorms too. At these temperatures the temperatures are still quite mild
