Robert Lewandowski: Barcelona striker reaches 100 Champions League goals

Lewandowski has scored 22 goals in 19 games across all competitions this season, nine more than any other La Liga player, including 15 in 14 league games.

Lewandowski is also just four goals shy of his total from last season, when he scored 26 goals in 49 games for the Catalan giants.

And if you look at the five best leagues in Europe, things look similar for Lewandowski to the Champions League.

Since moving from Lech Poznan to Dortmund in 2010, he has been the third top scorer in La Liga, Bundesliga, Premier League, Serie A and Ligue 1.

Behind them are of course Messi with 408 and Ronaldo with 385.

With 368 goals, Lewandowski is more than 100 goals ahead of fourth place – Bayern Munich’s English striker Harry Kane with 263.

Former Liverpool and Barcelona striker Luis Suarez, who now plays alongside Messi at Inter Miami, is next with 248.

Lewandowski shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, since his 30th birthday on August 21, 2018, he has been the top scorer in all five European leagues with 188 goals.

Kylian Mbappe, now at Real Madrid, has scored 166 goals – mostly for PSG – with Kane, Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah completing the top five.

Around 55 of Lewandowski’s goals in the Champions League have come since his 30th birthday. Only Ronaldo has scored more goals (68) over the age of 30.
