FACTS AND STATISTICS: Valtteri Bottas is no longer last in the driver table after Kick Sauber’s best race of 24

• Oscar Piastri took third place for McLaren, his eighth podium finish of the season.

• Mercedes’ George Russell finished fourth, the same position as the 2023 Qatar Grand Prix.

• Russell is now 24 points ahead of teammate Lewis Hamilton, with 26 available in Abu Dhabi.

• With Pierre Gasly’s fifth place, Alpine moves back up to sixth place in the constructors’ championship.
