Former 76er James Harden passes LeBron James on the NBA’s historic list

After moving from the Philadelphia 76ers last season and spending a full offseason with the Los Angeles Clippers, it’s safe to say that James Harden is on the right track in the West.

Since becoming familiar with his teammates on the Clippers, Harden has been successful throughout his 2024-2025 season. On Sunday night, he had some notable hits in the Clippers’ game against the Denver Nuggets.

First of all, Harden became the second player in NBA history to make 3,000 three-pointers. Recently, the 10-time All-Star passed Ray Allen on the all-time list and began his pursuit of Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry.

Beyond the three-point shot, Harden moved up another historic NBA ranking. According to StatMamba, Harden has officially passed Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James to win the most games of his career with at least 30 points and 10 assists in a game.

Harden’s 30-point outings may not be as frequent as they once were when he was a member of the Houston Rockets, but the ability to put up a 30 defensive effort on any given night is certainly there for the 35-year-old former MVP .

As a member of the Sixers, Harden only topped 30 points six times during the regular season. He played 79 games for the Sixers, averaging 21 points and 11 assists. Because he trailed NBA scoring champion Joel Embiid in the scoring department in Philly, Harden became the NBA’s assist champion in 2022–2023 for the second time in his career.

After averaging 17 points and nine assists for the Clippers last year, Harden has improved in both areas in his second season with the team. In 21 games so far, Harden has averaged 22 points and nine assists. With a 126-122 win over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday, Harden helped the Clippers to 13-9 on the year.
