Colorado woman Jayna Lang goes missing before Thanksgiving

A Colorado woman disappeared days before Thanksgiving after texting her brother that she was going shopping.

According to Denver7, Jayna Lang, 46, texted her brother Eric Horvat at 11:17 a.m. on Nov. 24 that she was heading to the Outlets in Silverthorne to do some shopping before the holidays.

“That was the last communication we had,” Horvat told the outlet.

“Never, ever did we think she would be gone and we don’t know where, where she is.”

Lang and her vehicle, a 2016 White 4 Runner SUV with a customized Colorado license plate reading “JAYNA,” were last seen in Littleton, a town about 10 miles outside of downtown Denver.

Lang’s family became concerned when her job at A Clip Above Pet Styling in Centennial contacted them to see if they had been in contact with her after she missed several days of work.

“She was supposed to go to Silverthorne on Sunday to check out the factory stores and her job called us and said she didn’t show up Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and now no one has heard from her, spoken to her or…” anything Horvat shared.

Lang’s family and colleagues said it was out of character for her to not answer her messages and miss work without notice.

“My aunt and her talk every day. Me and her, every few days. So it’s very, very suspicious that my aunt doesn’t hear from her,” her brother said.

Lang’s family said they loved nature and often traveled to the mountains in their free time.

“She enjoyed frequenting Park County, particularly the Indian Mountain subdivision,” the Park County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook, along with a photo of Lang’s SUV.

Horvat told 9 News his family was contacted by someone who said they may have seen his sister’s vehicle driving on Highway 6 from Breckenridge to Keystone on Wednesday evening.

Lang’s family is asking the public to keep an eye out for her.

“Maybe her car is somewhere off the road, somewhere where anyone driving this weekend would have seen it,” Horvat told the outlet.

“We miss her. Tell her to come home. Call us. Tell us you’re okay.”

The Post has reached out to the Park County Sheriff’s Office for comment.

Lang’s disappearance comes as police continue their hunt for Hannah Kobayashi.

Kobayashi has been missing since November 11, when she never boarded her connecting flight in Los Angeles during her trip from Hawaii to New York.

Since their daughter’s disappearance, the Kobayashis have faced several difficulties, culminating in the tragic death of their father.

Ryan Kobayashi committed suicide while searching for his daughter.

Police confirmed that Ryan Kobayashi, 58, died after jumping from a parking garage near LAX around 4 a.m. Sunday, six days after his daughter was reported missing.
