USC QB Miller Moss will enter the NCAA transfer portal

After four seasons at USC, two of which were behind Caleb Williams, quarterback Miller Moss announced Monday that he will enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Moss started nine games this season and completed 64.4% of his passes for 2,555 yards, 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions. USC went 6-6 on the year and ended the season with a 49-35 loss to rival Notre Dame on Saturday. Sophomore Jayden Maiava started in the season finale, which was his third straight start after Moss was substituted.

The quarterback still has one year of eligibility left, which he can use wherever he decides to transfer. He’s ready to leave the USC program, he told ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

“I really enjoyed my time at USC,” Moss said. “It has changed my life as a whole and my childhood in recent years. I am grateful. I gave this program everything I had. There comes a point when it’s time to move on to new opportunities and I hope to improve as a person and player.

The three weeks on the bench gave Moss enough time to think about his decision. He said he wants to play for a school that has a chance to compete for a conference championship, and the market for him in his graduate transfer season should be robust.
