AC/DC return to North America for 2025 stadium tour

AC/DC has decided: Let there be rock.

The legendary Australian band will embark on their first US tour since 2015 in the spring. The Power-Up Tour is scheduled for a 13-stop North American stadium tour beginning April 10 in Minneapolis and ending May 28 in Cleveland, the band announced Monday.

On the road, the group will play the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on April 18. The 102-year-old venue is set to undergo further renovations ahead of the 2028 Olympics, which will host soccer games at the historic UCLA football stadium.

Earlier this year, AC/DC completed the European leg of its tour, which shares its name with the band’s 2020 album. “Turn on.” Framed as a tribute to the Grammy-winning group’s founding guitarist, Malcolm Young, the died in 2017The LP became AC/DC’s third No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 and concluded the year on Rolling Stone’s Top 50 Albums of 2020 list.

On stage this spring will be lead singer Brian Johnson – who ended the band’s last US tour early due to hearing loss – founding member and lead guitarist Angus Young, rhythm guitarist Stevie Young (who replaced his uncle Malcolm in 2014), drummer Matt Laug and bassist Chris Chaney.

The band’s current line-up – except for Chaney, who replaced the now departed AC/DC bassist Cliff Williams – last played in the USA in 2023 Power Trip Festival in Indio, where the quintet performed classics from the 1980s “Back in Black” to the 1990s “Thunderstruck.”

AC/DC played their first show on December 31, 1973 at Checkers Nightclub in Sydney and have since sold more than 200 million albums worldwide. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.

Tickets for the US leg of the Power Up tour will be available on the AC/DC website starting December 6th at 12 p.m.
