CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY

Whittier has a 2-0 record in championship games. The last time the Wildcats appeared in a title game was in 2014, when they defeated Blackstone Valley 44-8 behind an impressive 222-yard, three-touchdown performance from Jesus Sanchez.

Bay Path is seeking its third consecutive bowl title and has an overall record of 4-1 in championship games. The Minutemen held Blackstone Valley 42-41 last year as Kaiden Brochu ran for 346 yards and scored four total touchdowns.

DANNY V’S OUTLOOK

Whittier deserves a lot of credit for making it to the finals and beating two CAC teams (Greater Lowell and Northeast) to reach the finals. But this Bay Path team is very explosive and features two outstanding defenders in Kaiden Brochu and Bradyn Downes, both of whom have State Bowl Final experience.

Selection: Bay Path

CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY

Blue Hills has had a lot of success in this tournament, going 4-1 in five previous championship games. The defending champions edged Tri-County in the finale a year ago when Matthew Begin rushed for 151 yards and two scores in a 44-7 victory. Tri-County is looking for its first win in four tries.

DANNY V’S OUTLOOK

This is a rematch of the Oct. 26 game where Blue Hills won 24-14. You have to like the way Blue Hills has developed over the course of the season and I see no reason to expect any change here.

Selection: Blue Hills
