Does a Browns MNF win over Broncos mean Jameis Winston is the answer?

At 3-8, the Cleveland Browns If they want to return to the playoffs next year, they will have to work out some issues in the offseason. Nothing is more important than whoever is right under center and leading the offense.

While the answer could be an early draft pick, it would benefit the Browns to find out the man is already on their roster. Jameis Winston has impressed since being forced into action as a starter Deshaun Watson Season-ending injury, and earlier this week our own Jared Mueller wrote about a possible extension for the veteran quarterback.

Winston’s offense has gone from historically inept to a proficient passing attack in his first four starts. He played extremely well in three of those games and entered the conversation about what Cleveland should do at the position in the near future.

It will be another nail-biting game as he leads the team to Denver to take on the Broncos on Monday Night Football. The Broncos have one of the best defenses in the league and will pose a significant challenge to the Browns’ offense.

Patrick Surtain has established himself as the NFL’s best cornerback and is playing at an All-Pro level. They will also put pressure on Winston as they lead the league with 44 sacks, led by Nik Bonitto, who you are currently connected to Myles Garrett for third place overall with ten.

If Winston had another good game and led the Browns to a win over the Broncos, the national media would make sure he remained the starter next season. The veteran will be a free agent and may have multiple teams in the hunt for his services.
