Colts playoff odds: So you’re saying there’s a chance

The Indianapolis Colts earned a season-saving win against the New England Patriots. Things looked dicey, but a difficult fourth-quarter performance and a gutsy two-point conversion kept their postseason hopes alive. This week the Colts will get some much-needed rest. Yes, the Colts may have to have a bye this week, but FanDuel Sports Betting never stops. Let’s look ahead at the Colts’ chances of reaching the postseason.

Reach the playoffs

The Colts currently have a +156 chance of reaching the postseason. The Dolphins and Bengals lost, which helps stave off some of the competition right behind them. Even better, the Colts hold the tiebreaker over the Dolphins. The Broncos play tonight and the Colts have them in their first post-bye game. This will be the Colts’ best chance to take a step toward the seventh seed. The Ravens have also been struggling a bit lately, as they are 3-3 in their last six games.

Win the division

Winning the AFC South is a steeper climb as the Colts are currently +1000. One reason for this is that they have to hope that a particular team stumbles rather than having multiple options. While the Texans’ schedule will be difficult with games against the Ravens, Chiefs and Dolphins, they have a solid lead over the Colts and the tiebreaker, having won both divisional meetings. The Colts have to be perfect and hope the Texans take a nosedive.

Win the Super Bowl

Ok, this is bordering on crazy, but it’s bye week. What else do we do? The odds of the Colts winning the whole thing are +28,000. Not impossible, but extremely unlikely. If you’re lucky and confident from what you’ve seen in Anthony Richardson’s last few starts, maybe give it a try. If you don’t like how the Colts defense was overrun by the Patriots, maybe keep your wallet.

Take time to complete some tasks or spend time with family. If you still want to use your Sunday for football, you can have a less stressful day by watching other teams beat each other. The Colts will rest and prepare for a late-season push. Things start early with the Broncos. Win this and we will certainly see those odds change.
