ForbesNYT “Connections” tips and answers for December 2nd

Hello! I hope your week is off to a good start.

One thing I made sure to do during the Black Friday sales was pick up some new clothes. There’s a particular brand that has become my favorite over the last year or two, but I felt like it was time to move beyond my usual uniform of black t-shirts. So I got new versions of the same t-shirt I always wear, but in new colors and prints. I now have it in two funky floral prints that I’ll happily wear to holiday gatherings. A little more color in your life is rarely a bad thing.

Today NYT Connections Hints and answers for Tuesday, December 3rd will follow soon.

How to play connections

Connections is a free, popular one New York Times daily pun. You will receive a new puzzle every day at midnight. You can play on that NYT Website or gaming app.

You will be presented with a grid of 16 words. Your task is to divide them into four groups of four by figuring out the connections between them. The groups can be items you can click on, names of research participants, or words preceded by a body part.

Each puzzle has only one solution, and you have to be careful when it comes to words that could fit into more than one category. You can mix up the words to perhaps better see the connections between them.

Each group is color coded. The yellow group is usually the easiest to understand, blue and green are in the middle, and the purple group is usually the most difficult. The purple group often contains puns.

Select four words that you think go together and click Send. If you guess and are wrong, you lose a life. When you’re close to finding the right group, you may see a message saying you’re one word away from the right group, but you still need to figure out which word to swap.

If you make four mistakes, the game is over. Let’s make sure that this doesn’t happen with the help of some tips, and if you really find it difficult, even with today’s ones Connections Answer. Like with Wordle and other similar games, it’s easy to share results with your friends on social media and group chats.

If you have one NYT You can access the publications with the All Access or Games subscription Connections Archive. This includes every previous game from Connectionsso you can go back and play any songs you missed.

Aside from the first 60 or so games, you should be able to find my clues for each grid via Google if you need to! Simply click here and enter the date of the game for which you need hints or answers to the search query.

Nice, I played a perfect game today. That’s six wins in a row for your old buddy. This is what happened to me:

There was a big red herring here in terms of the EGOT awards: EMMY, GRAMMY, OSCAR and TONY. But just as I was about to throw caution to the wind and submit them as a group, CARMELA caught my eye. I realized that TONY, MEADOW and JUNIOR had to pass for the yellows. The sopranos is such a great show, but I can imagine it will be a difficult group for those who haven’t seen it – not exactly a yellow tier group for me.

This meant that GRAMMY had to match the other greens (although I imagine MUMMY instead of “Mommy” will put some people off). The blues also seemed pretty straightforward to me, even if I wasn’t entirely sure about SNUFFY. While I like Cookie Monster and Oscar the Grouch, The Count is by far my favorite Sesame Street Character.

I’ve decided to submit what I think are the purple colors before the blue ones as I’m trying to get those as early as possible. I didn’t figure out this connection, but probably should have. You can pronounce these words as CC, ED, MA and KT.

PS: Yesterday I touched on how the race for number one in the UK Christmas Singles Chart is a strangely important cultural affair (at least until Ladbaby completely ruined it). The honor often went to a charity or novelty song, but starting in the mid-2000s it went to the debut single of the reality show’s respective annual winner The X Factor has won.

In 2009, a campaign against it paid off when Rage Against The Machine’s “Killing In The Name” emerged victorious. If you’re unfamiliar, this is both loud and NSFW:

As they were clearly in the running for first place, Rage Against The Machine were invited to perform the song on BBC Radio 5 Live. The station asked the band not to record the insults. You know, in a protest song that rails against the ills of society, particularly police brutality. Singer Zack de la Rocha initially obeyed, but kept the F-bombs for the big cathartic climax. Gorgeous stuff.

I wish you a wonderful day!
