Jerry Jeudy had a smart response to the booing from Broncos fans

Jerry Jeudy appeared in one Monday Night Football He was a standout against his former team, but his Herculean performance wasn’t enough as the Cleveland Browns lost 41-32 to the Denver Broncos in a thriller.

The standout wide receiver, who spent the first four years of his NFL career in Denver, caught nine passes for an astonishing 235 yards – including a 70-yard touchdown. His efforts came against a backdrop of boos from fans who used to wear his jersey at games and hoped he would be an integral part of the franchise’s offense (which, by the way, is looking quite good under rookie quarterback Bo Nix).

After the game, Jeudy was asked what he thought of the crowd’s reaction to his return and he delivered a strong comeback.

“I heard it,” Jeudy said. “That was a lot of boos, wasn’t it? What does that mean? That was a lot of catches too.”

“High emotions, you want to beat the team you used to play for but we couldn’t,” he continued. “We have to find a way to win.”

For his part, Jeudy said he had no lingering animosity towards his former club and was committed to achieving victory.

“I have nothing against them, it’s just football, it’s competitive,” Jeudy said. “Everyone just wants to win, no problem.”

It’s always a brave move to talk some nonsense after a game loss, but in this particular case it’s definitely justified. When you’re well over two trillion as a wide receiver, you talk extremely loudly on the field, so it’s natural that there’s a little bit of chatter involved.
