For the visionaries featured in our 14th annual Forbes 30 Under 30 course, the only constant is change—and this year, we’re changing the way we list them, too. Since every company is now a technology company, we replaced the “Enterprise” and “Consumer Tech” categories with “AI” and “Transportation”. What hasn’t changed: The outsized influence of the under-30s of 2025. They are inventing new technologies to treat tumors, expanding access to charging electric vehicles, making credit cards more secure and even dreaming of reflective satellites that shine the sun at night could reveal.

To identify this outstanding group, Forbes Editors worked with experienced judges – including musician Big Sean, journalist Kara Swisher, America’s richest self-made woman Diane Hendricks, ballerina Misty Copeland and billionaire venture capitalist Jim Breyer – to review and evaluate more than 10,000 candidates to evaluate their impact. Finance and creativity. The result: 600 young managers are steering the future of business and culture in 20 different industries.

Let’s take the 28-year-old Aidan Gomezwho is building Cohere, a $940 million-funded startup that builds custom AI chatbots for companies like tech giant Oracle and Unicorn Notion. Demi Guo26, is another AI highlight: their platform Pika can turn a simple text prompt or a still image into a movie (think special effects, explosions, animated characters and more). Pika is worth $470 million. The award winners now like social media stars Drew Afualo29, and Bobbi Althoff27, both have turned TikTok’s popularity into a digital media empire that includes podcasts, YouTube channels and, in Afualo’s case, a best-selling memoir.

Other 2025 listers have sold out shows worldwide. Grammy-nominated Noah Kahan27, brought 700,000 fans to stadiums like Boston’s Fenway Park in 2024 and was a country breakout star ShaboozeyThe 29-year-old will take his cowboy boots across the pond for a European tour after wrapping up his first-ever North American tour this fall.

This year’s cohort is backed by the largest backers (they have $3.6 billion in cumulative investments) and counts fans around the world (over 300 million social media followers) who are following their startup journey. Many are using new AI tools – even artists – to revolutionize the way they create and work. As the world continues to change rapidly, the under-30 class of 2025 sees their youth as a superpower, bringing new perspectives and ideas to shape the future they want to live in.
