The holiday television season begins tonight, December 3rd, with CMA Country Christmas on ABC

It’s starting to look like Christmas on TV, as networks and streamers are releasing Christmas-themed programs to get us in the spirit. This also includes CMA Country Christmas 2024 on ABC, airing tonight, Tuesday, December 3rd at 8pm ET/PT.

In its 15th year, CMA Country Christmas has become a holiday TV staple as many of country music’s biggest stars perform holiday classics in front of a live Nashville audience (the show was pre-recorded). Country stars Amy Grant and Trisha Yearwood serve as hosts of the special and are part of the artist lineup with performances of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” “Sing Your Praise to the Lord” and “Tennessee.” Christmas” and a Christmas medley.

Here’s a complete look at the other 2024 CMA Country Christmas performers and the classic holiday songs they sing:

  • For King + County with Carin León singing “O Come, O Come Emmanuel.”

  • Cody Johnson sings “White Christmas” and “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”

The 2024 CMA Country Christmas Special isn’t the only dose of Christmas ABC is delivering to viewers on December 3rd. Claymation’s animated Christmas classic follows immediately after the special at 9 p.m Santa Claus is coming to townwhich tells the story of Santa Claus and features the voice of Mickey Rooney as Kris Kringle and Fred Astaire as the narrator.

Holiday content continues elsewhere on ABC this week, such as: Abbott Elementary School Season 4 will air back-to-back holiday episodes on Wednesday, December 4th at 8pm ET/PT, then the first two episodes of a new season The big Christmas light fight airs Thursday, December 5 starting at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

To watch CMA Country Christmas or any of the scheduled holiday content on ABC live this week, you will need one of the following options: a traditional pay TV provider, a TV antenna, or a live TV streaming service that carries ABC ( e.g. Fubo, Hulu with Live TV or YouTube TV).
