The Voice shakes up the competition with a surprising R&B artist

Look out America, London is in the house.

fans of The voice Expect a very special guest appearance from the R&B and soul singer October London during the December 3 episode of the series.

The Billboard chart-topper will perform his hit song “3rd Shift” from his new album October nights. According to the Grammy-nominated musician, the song is a tribute to a lover who stood by her partner through all of life’s ups and downs.

And speaking about his latest release, October revealed that his competitive nature was the reason he wanted to make an album even better than his last.

“The Rebirth of Marvin, you know, I kept hearing, ‘I wonder if his second album will be as good as the first,'” he said Fox 5 New York in October. “So I really wanted to go in and make sure I touched more fans and more lives; I just cover everything when it comes to love, pain and just everyday life.”

October nights is the Indiana native’s second album, which he released as the first artist he was signed to Agree trainer Snoop Doggis the very own Death Row Records. When asked about working with the music mogul, the “Touch On Me” singer said the experience was nothing short of “amazing.”

“I met Snoop in 2016 and he and I have gotten along well ever since,” he said Fox 5. “It was just amazing having him around and being on that label.”

After tonight, October wI’ll join one one of the many celebrity guests who appeared on this season of the hit competition series.

JJust last week, as the series headed into the playoffs, coaches Snoop Dogg and Reba McEntire enlisted the help of A-list celebrities – like Country music superstar Lainey Wilson and 11-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles– act as prominent advisors to their teams.

And why did Snoop choose Simone to help his team? Like he said Entertainment tonight, “I wanted to bring someone who would think outside the box. It all comes down to the four letters: GOAT, DOGG.”

The voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
