November went as well as it could have for Kentucky basketball and new coach Mark Pope. They were 7-0 behind one of the best offenses in the country and a defense that played strong in the biggest moments.

The Wildcats also pulled off a big upset win over the Duke Blue Devils with a second-half comeback behind the defense. Their game is now in the top ten nationally. They are ranked sixth in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches poll and fourth in the AP Top 25 poll.

A series of December games begins tonight in Kentucky. It starts with the SEC/ACC Challenge against the Clemson Tigers. The Tigers are 7-1 with only a loss to Boise State, but they have not yet achieved a winning record or played against any ranked teams.

Clemson’s defense ranks 28th nationally in scoring defense, but will face its biggest challenge against the Wildcats, who lead the country in scoring defense. Both teams shoot a lot of threes, which could make for an entertaining game.

Here’s how to watch the game, including channel, time and streaming information:

Kentucky 86 – Clemson 78

Clemson is a good team with an effective defense, so Kentucky needs to limit turnovers and shoot the ball well. The Wildcats also need to do a better job keeping their teams off the offensive field. If the three-point shot falls, the Cats should win.

Opportunities: Kentucky – 1.5

O/U: 155.5
