Clemson destroys Kentucky on the glass and takes a 37-30 halftime lead

Kentucky knew it was going to be a physical game, but the Wildcats aren’t necessarily playing the way they knew it was going to be a physical game, if that makes any sense. They are absolutely dominated on the glass, trailing Clemson 31-21 overall, with the Tigers grabbing 13 offensive rebounds, which led to 10 second-chance points. Combined with an abysmal shooting percentage of 31.3 percent from the field, 28.6 percent from three and 54.5 percent at the line, that means they go into halftime down 37-30 in the team’s first real road game of the season.

Otega Oweh led the team with eight points, followed by Lamont Butler with seven, Jaxson Robinson with six, Andrew Carr and Koby Brea with three, Ansley Almonor with two and Amari Williams with one.

Ian Schieffelin leads Clemson with nine points, while Viktor Lakhin and Jaeden Zackery each have six points as the Tigers shoot 34.2 percent from the field and 31.3 percent from three. They also blocked six shots while forcing six turnovers, compared to just three assists for the Wildcats.

One stat to hate: 3-14 for Kentucky on layups on the way to 0.811 points per possession with a 16.2 percent turnover rate.

Rough, rough, rough.

20 minutes to figure out what the hell that was. Come on, cats.
