OH, CAN WE GET A MACHINE AND DO IT? YES. You are good. IN ORDER. HEY, YOU KNOW, WE HAVE ABOUT 9 INCHES OF SNOW IN THE MONTH OF DECEMBER. BUT IN THE LAST THREE DECEMBER WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED MUCH AT ALL. You have to go back to 19 and 20 to find out where we actually had a decent amount of snow. So it’s a little interesting that we’re going to get some snow, but I don’t think that’s going to mean much in Boston. WE HAVE THIS LITTLE BAND OF SNOW THAT COVERS THE BERKSHIRES AND THROUGH RHODE ISLAND, JUST SOUTH OF THE ISLANDS. IN FACT IN THE WESTERN PART OF THE STATE WE HAVE SOME REPORTS OF ALMOST SHIELDING SNOW, FLUFFY AND LIGHT STUFF. BUT THIS IS THE ONE THAT WILL COME IN HERE AS WE TALK ABOUT TOMORROW NIGHT. So we’ll see what happens tomorrow late evening or late afternoon into the evening. There’s a few sprinkles, a few showers out there, not much. And then we start to really get things going. AFTER 8:00. HERE COMES THE SNOW. Here is the rain and this is the dividing line. WE HAVE A SOUTHERLY WIND THAT WILL KEEP IT WARM HERE IN THE RAIN. But it’s just cold enough out here. BARELY COLD ENOUGH TO SUPPORT SNOW. BUT IF SOME ALTITUDES ARE A LITTLE COLDER WHERE SNOW IS MORE LIKELY, YOU COULD DRIVE DOWN TO THE VALLEY AND PROBABLY HAVE MORE RAIN. And it’s a type of heavy, wet snow we’re talking about. SO THURSDAY MORNING, YOUR commute. If you come from the west or north, give yourself a little more time. If you’re in the south, give yourself a little more time, but you’ll be driving in cold, windy rain. Now the whole thing comes to an end around nine in the morning and continues from here. BUT THERE IS A SMALL AREA. The cold front moving through could trigger what we call snow squalls. This is sort of the wintertime equivalent of a passing thunderstorm that we would see in the summer, meaning it will quickly get a small burst of snow, not enough to really intensify it, but it can make things a little icy out there make VERY FAST. Of course, it can also mean that you reduce visibility. So keep that in mind as we head out around lunchtime on Thursday. THIS WILL GO THROUGH. And then that’s pretty much it. Now let’s unleash the incoming cold air like I showed you. REALLY, WHAT ABOUT THE HEIGHT THEY’RE GOING TO TALK ABOUT TO GET SOME SNOW? 3 TO 6. I WOULD RESERVE THIS FOR ALTITUDE WELL ABOVE 1000 FT. AND ESPECIALLY TO THE NORTHWEST. WHEN YOU LOOK ACROSS THE CITY NOW IT’S STILL 34 DEGREES. The breeze is not as bad, but the wind will increase as we begin the forecast for Friday. SO clear skies and cold this evening from 2pm to midnight. Cool again, as if it were this morning. TOMORROW MORNING SUN, INCREASING CLOUDS AND THEN RAIN. TOMORROW NIGHT it will start snowing between 8 and 10 o’clock. AND THE TEMPERATURE DEVELOPMENT ON FRIDAY WILL BE COLD, ESPECIALLY ON FRIDAY MORNING. Plus, look at these winds we’re talking about. Wind gusts of 3,545 mph are certainly possible Thursday evening into Friday morning. AND THAT’S WHY WIND COOL CAPACITIES WILL BE IN THE SINGLE DIGIT FRIDAY MORNING. BUNDLE. IT’S COLD. One out there. IN ORDER. YOUR THURSDAY. There is snow and rain there in the morning. AND THEN IT GOES SLOW. AS WE REACH THE AFTERNOON, THERE WILL BE LOTS OF SUNSHINE FOR FRIDAY. BUT IT’S COLD SUNSHINE. AND THEN SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. It’s still windy, but not quite as windy. And it’s actually getting a little warmer. On the way to Sunday. Check out what happens next week, Monday and Tuesday. 40’S AND 50’S ARE CERTAINLY A POSSIBILITY. Maybe even just rain. AS WE LOOK AT THE FORECAST ON THE ROAD. BUT IN THE MEANTIME, WE ARE PURSUING OUR FIRST KIND OF FAIR
