Predictions: Adam Gorney has his shot at 20+ top prospects

National Signing Day is just around the corner. Rivals National Recruiting Director Adam Gorney takes a stab at some final predictions while the fax machines warm up. By the way, do they still do that?

The top-rated three-star linebacker has been committed to Baylor since July, and the Bears’ play in the second half of the season made it difficult to make a move. Oklahoma and Oregon were the two mainstays working to turn it around, but now all signs point to it sticking around.

Forecast: Baylor

If Mack Brown If he remains North Carolina’s coach or a new coach is named, the Tar Heels might be able to land the state’s four-star defensive lineman. But it was a huge disappointment for Campbell that Brown was released and Tennessee thoroughly impressed him.

Forecast: Tennessee

Kansas State has begun reaching out to Tennessee tight end commit DaSaahn Brame in recent days after Cure was finally able to visit Oregon for a gameday visit, and while Brame said he might sign with the Vols Cure’s recruitment still goes both ways. This is a big mistake, but Oregon rarely loses late in the recruiting cycle.

Forecast: Oregon

Notre Dame seemed like the front-runner for so long, but every time Faraimo was expected to commit to the Irish, it never happened. USC has come through the fall very strong and now it looks like the Trojans have the lead with the Adonis-looking four-star linebacker from San Juan Capistrano (Calif.) JSerra Catholic.

Forecast: USC

I reported early Tuesday that Texas was making a serious, concerted effort to sign five-star players Fasusi and Justus Terry, and that could very well still happen since the Longhorns don’t appear to be messing around with NIL and are only taking top prospects in Take sight. That could influence Fasusi in the end, but I’ve also been told if Bill Bedenbaugh If Oklahoma’s offensive coach stays, the five-star star will move there.

Forecast: Oklahoma

His two Mandarin teammates from Jacksonville, Florida recently flew to Florida, and then Ffrench made an official visit to Gainesville. But Texas still appears confident in keeping the five-star receiver.

Forecast: Texas

The four-star defensive back from Lyons (Ga.) Toombs County had been committed to Tennessee since July, but backed away from that promise when Florida made a big effort to sign him. Hayward was in Gainesville over the weekend and it looks like the Gators have a big lead, but Georgia hasn’t given up.

Forecast: Florida

After speaking to multiple sources, it appears that even the programs involved don’t know exactly what’s going on with Hilson’s recruiting going forward. There was some smoke at Missouri after his visit last weekend, but would going to Florida State (if teammate Jayvan Boggs transfers there) or Texas A&M (where teammate Brady Hart transferred) be out of the question? Texas is also still in the game with Syracuse and Pitt.

Forecast: Missouri

USC has dealt with numerous setbacks from prospects, particularly from the Southeast, but we expect this one to stay with the Trojans. Penn State and Georgia have tried hard to land the Milford Mill electric receiver for Baltimore (Md.), but USC is likely holding out.

Forecast: USC

Four-star receiver from Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman is keeping quiet about his intentions, but playing in the SEC was a big draw and playing with an elite quarterback appears to be a priority. When Bryce Underwood transferred to Michigan, Alabama stepped into the void and the Crimson Tide have five-star quarterback Keelon Russell.

Forecast: Alabama

A week ago, I would have easily let Mills travel to Nebraska. But there is some upheaval and uncertainty in the coaching space there, although the NIL number could be higher and that is always tempting. And the attitude of Daikiel shorts as receivers coach could be the last straw.

Forecast: Nebraska

The former Appalachian State quarterback returned his commitment to Oklahoma State in September and it looked like the Cowboys would sign the three-star quarterback from Lehi, Utah. But Oklahoma offered on Tuesday night and now the Sooners are definitely a big player facing a final decision on Wednesday.

Forecast: Oklahoma

Five-star cornerback from Birmingham (Ala.) Parker has been committed to Ohio State since February and traveled back to Columbus this past weekend, which was a huge success. Although much has been kept secret about what’s happening down the line, a source said he’s going to Auburn on a gut feeling. I will also make this choice.

Forecast: Auburn

Once considered a strong Notre Dame recruit, this recruit made his way to Michigan and Colorado, and down the stretch the Wolverines have taken over. A late decision by the Buffaloes — joining Bradenton (Florida) with IMG Academy teammate London Merritt — wouldn’t be a shock, but I’m sticking with the Wolverines.

Forecast: Michigan

Georgia and Ohio State emerged as the top two candidates after Rogers reneged on his promise to Alabama. In recent weeks it has seemed like the Buckeyes have taken the lead, but the Bulldogs cannot be ignored in any recruiting effort.

Forecast: Ohio State

If the No. 1 offensive tackle were to return to Ohio State for the Michigan game last weekend, it would be an easy pick for the Buckeyes. But after a trip to Columbus two weekends ago and a meeting with the coach Ryan DayThings seem to have calmed down and all the late talk is about him staying with Tennessee. Ohio State offered Marshall offensive line commit Phillip Bowser, a possible replacement?

Forecast: Tennessee

Almost all of Louisiana’s top candidates end up at LSU. Stewart visited Baton Rouge during the week last week. There were rumors that he would return to LSU for the Oklahoma game this weekend, but that turned out to be false. USC took the lead in this game a few weeks ago and the Tigers are 100 percent until the end, but sources say the Trojans are still okay as things stand.

Forecast: USC

Read about Fasusi above. Texas is making serious attempts to acquire top targets and there appears to be serious consideration about playing for the Longhorns. But the five-star defensive tackle has been leaning heavily toward Georgia for a while now and with his decision on Friday, there’s still some wiggle room, but it would have to be a big payday for it Kirby Smart to miss such a top goal.

Forecast: Georgia

Nebraska had a fantastic recruiting pitch and Terry even considered holding it off for a while to continue considering the Huskers and others, but it would be a huge surprise at this point if Texas doesn’t move forward for the four-star all-rounder would be from San Antonio (Texas) Alamo Heights.

Forecast: Texas

This is still a bug and should remain until a decision is made. Late Tuesday, it looked like a two-man race between the five-star offensive guard who stays at Florida State or transfers to LSU. trainer Mike Norvell tried to save this, but without Alex Atkins This is difficult in Tallahassee.

Forecast: LSU

The four-star receiver from Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Bay Tech has been committed to Oregon since January 2023 and the program has only gone up from there. Florida and others have tried Wilson, but all the other programs seem to be falling by the wayside.

Forecast: Oregon
