The feature that normally allows the player to prepare for the next game (also called queue) without ever having to go to the lobby screen again after opening the game has stopped working since the release of Fortnite‘s content release.

This means that players will not be able to automatically queue for their next game, but will have to return to the main menu as usual to re-enter the game.

The technical issue prompted a quick response from developer Epic Games, who told fans on X (formerly Twitter) that they were aware of the problem and were “working on it:”

“Hey! The “Ready” button at the end of the game is temporarily disabled as our team works on an issue.”

According to another post on its social feeds, the studio even went so far as to disable the button entirely, at least for now:

“We have disabled the Ready button at the end of a game while we investigate an issue. It will be available again in a future update. Please “Return to Lobby” to prepare for a new game.”

It remains to be seen why exactly the error occurred. Some have speculated that this is likely related to the release of the final seasons of Chapter 6 of the game.

Typically, these new content additions may come with various bugs and technical issues that could not be 100% tested internally. Sometimes things like this only emerge when new content or seasonal additions are made available to the masses.

The issue will likely be resolved quickly, as Epic is trying to make Chapter 6’s release day as hassle-free as possible, and it’s an important part of ensuring that players experience the game seamlessly (or at least as seamlessly as possible). move on to game of it.
