Auburn live updates: Auburn Tigers early signing day action

The Auburn Tigers’ hopes of playing in a bowl game went up in smoke last Saturday on the turf at Bryant-Denny Stadium. As the 2024 season concludes its final chapter, the first chapter for 2025 begins today, on National Signing Day.

The Tigers enter the 2025 recruiting class with 25 players and expect most of them to sign their national letters of intent on Wednesday.

According to 247Sports, Auburn’s signing day class is the fifth-best in the country. It is led by two five-star defenders, Jared Smith and Malik Autry.

For the Tigers, pursuing multiple last-minute finishes will be crucial to maintaining their top-five ranking. Five-star defensive lineman Na’eem Offord (Ohio State commit), defensive lineman Darrion Smith (Tennessee commitment) and defensive lineman Justus Terry (uncommitted) will make final decisions this week.

Auburn coach Hugh Freeze is scheduled to hold a press conference at 3 p.m. to discuss his thoughts on the upcoming class.
