THREE players led by more than two million managers

For the first time in Fantasy Premier League history, THREE players were managed by more than two million managers – Erling Haaland (£15.0m), Mohamed Salah (£13.2m) and Cole Palmer (£11.0m).

Haaland is number 1 and is captained by more than 3 million for Manchester City’s home game against Nottingham Forest, an increase of more than 100,000 on the weekend.

But despite winning more armbands, Haaland is also among the top two best-selling players for the fourth year in a row as he continues to divide the fantasy bosses.

In fact, the Norwegian’s ownership percentage has fallen below 50 percent for the first time since his Premier League debut. Both Salah and Palmer are now owned by a larger number of managers.

Salah 2,868,174

Salah, the best captain of Gameweek 13, was supported by 2.8 million players this time. Liverpool travel to Newcastle United on Wednesday.

Encouragingly for his supporters, the Egyptian has returned in each of his last six starts against the Magpies. Salah has averaged 9.0 points per game during this run thanks to four goals and five assists.

Two Chelsea players are among the top five captains for the Blues’ trip to Southampton. Bottom-placed Southampton are among the two worst teams in both penalty area shots conceded and shots on goal conceded, increasing the appeal of Palmer and the most-sold player of the midweek fixture. Nicholas Jackson (£8.1m).

Only once before, in Double Gameweek 35 last season, has Palmer been managed by more managers.

Bukayo Saka (£10.4m) achieved the best return of his career with an 18-point win at West Ham United last Saturday.

The over 429,000 players who chose Saka to score double points will be hoping for a repeat when Arsenal host Manchester United on Wednesday.
